Our Self Catering Barns
Our converted stone barns sleep from two to sixteen. Each barn is individually designed and furnished to ensure every comfort. They are available all year round to book for that “special” birthday, a family get together or just to escape to the country.
Our self-catering barns have been lovingly renovated, preserving the original character whilst benefiting from modern interiors. Open plan living areas with TV and Wi-Fi, fully equipped kitchens, bathrooms, en-suite bedrooms, outdoor space and some with private hot tubs. All are fully self-contained and dog friendly.
Don’t want to cook? That’s fine, our in-house chef has created a superb menu of hot and cold food which can be delivered direct to your door or why not spoil yourself with a personal chef in your accommodation.
Located up a beautiful cobbled drive and with original 200 year old doors leading into the property, our Rustic rooms offer the true rustic farm like feel.
Our two Rustic King rooms sleep 2 people, with one king bed. Both have a small kitchenette with microwave and shower room.

A self-catering barn conversion situated on the ground floor, The Tack Studio has an open-planned living space with fully equipped kitchen, King bed and a large shower cubicle. This barn benefits from under-floor heating and porcelain floor tiles, this keeps The Tack Studio cosy in the winter months and cool during the summer.
Original stone walls retain the character of this farmhouse building, whilst modern facilities are used throughout, perfect for guests enjoying a romantic escape or on a last-minute getaway to the Jurassic Coast.
A two-person, self-catering open plan barn conversion located on the first floor and accessed by external steps. The open planned living space has a fully equipped kitchen, dining and seating area as well as a king bed and separate bathroom, featuring bath and shower.
The vaulted ceilings and wooden beams help to retain the character of the building as well as to heighten the spacious, light and airy feel to this space. Perfect for a romantic retreat or countryside escape.
A two bedroom barn conversion on the first floor with one King room and a twin room on a mezzanine floor (NB: The mezzanine floor is accessed via steep a staircase, this may not be suitable for younger children and guests with mobility issues. There is a stair gate provided at the top and bottom of the staircase).
There is family bathroom with shower and a bath, open-plan living area with two comfortable sofas and decorative inglenook fireplace, a fully fitted kitchen and dining table for four. To the rear of the property is a small courtyard, where you will find a small table and chairs.
One of our four-person, self-catering cottages located on the first floor, accessed via external outdoor steps. Perfect for families or friends, the Hayloft makes a great base for your coastal escape.
The Hayloft has two bedrooms, one king bedded room and one twin room, both with en-suite shower rooms.
The open-plan living space is furnished with two sofas, a dining area for four with flat screen TV, leading onto a fully equipped kitchen.
The high vaulted ceilings as well as exposed modern beams help to retain the farm like feel to this converted barn.
Sleeping up to 6 people, The Stables is one of our larger self-catering properties consisting of one family room, one double room and a large open-planned kitchen and living room. Both bedrooms feature an en-suite bathroom.
The kitchen area is fully equipped providing you with everything necessary to really make this a home away from home. The open planned living area can comfortably accommodate groups of up to six across two sofas and a dining area seating up to six guests.
The under-floor heating is just another touch of luxury, keeping you warm in winter; whilst the porcelain floor tiles keep the rooms cool on those wonderful summer days.
Bedroom one has one has a king-sized double bed, LCD TV and an en-suite bathroom with a separate shower cubicle and bath.
Bedroom two is a large space, sleeping a total of four people. It has a king-size double bed, a large single bed and a put-up bed; the en-suite shower room has a double sized shower cubicle.
This barn is accessible for disabled guests with a sloping ramp to the entrance. The entire accommodation is on one level and is on the ground floor. Please note that the bathroom is not fully equipped for limited mobility.
Accommodating up to 16 guests, the Wagon Shed is a six-bedroom converted 17th Century stone barn.
With spectacular views across the Axe Valley and Jurassic Coastline, this makes it the perfect venue for family parties, friends gatherings and Hen parties. The Wagon Shed boasts its own private garden, complete with an exclusive hot tub, seating up to 6 guests: sharing these glorious views of the local East Devon countryside.
Entering the property, you are greeted with an extensive open-planned living and dining area. The hand-made dining table seats up to 16 guests, making this the perfect location for evening dining and group celebrations. The living room hosts ample seating across several plush settees, as well as a large flat screen TV.
Leading on from the dining area is the fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen features a traditional country Aga as well as all equipment required to cook for 16 guests.
The Wagon Shed has a total of 6 bedrooms across two floors. On the ground floor there is one twin bedded room and a family room with a king bed and one single bed. The family room comes complete with an en-suite accessible wet room. The upstairs hosts a further 4 bedrooms, 3 king bedded rooms and one additional family room, with a king bed and two single beds. All the bedrooms come with en-suite bathrooms.
The second of our larger self-catering barns, The Milking Parlour sleeps up to 16 guests across 6 bedrooms, all with en-suites.
This barn was originally used in 1750 as the Milking Parlour for Hills Farm and has been lovingly restored using natural products, whilst incorporating modern technologies and ecologically friendly materials.
The Milking Parlour comes with its own private outdoor area, exclusive hot tub access for up to 6 guests as well as leading onto a larger green space complete with picnic benches; a great area for outdoor games.
Upon entering the property you are met by a large open planned kitchen, lounge and dining area. The dining table is hand-crafted and comfortably seats up to 16 guests. The kitchen is fully equipped to cater for large groups and the lounge area boasts plenty of seating for you and all your guests; as well as a large flat screen TV.
Downstairs the Milking Parlour also hosts two king bedded rooms, both with en-suites. Upstairs you will find a further four bedrooms; consisting of two family rooms, both with a king bed and two single beds, one twin room and a double room. All come with their own en-suite bathrooms.
